Meet the Artist
I am Gisela, a Colombian-British illustrator currently creating in London. Following my BA in Animation, I dedicated my practice to the art of digital illustration and the power of visual storytelling.
My portfolio examines the intersections of human emotion, daily life, and the wonderfully peculiar through vibrant, character-led art. Blending the adorable with the eerie is a signature of my style, a balance that originally inspired the name Pocoloco and remains a cornerstone of my creative identity.

My Vision
I strive to build immersive miniature worlds that ignite curiosity while remaining deeply intimate and recognizable. I believe in the communicative power of emotion, utilizing specific palettes, expressive characters, and intricate details to articulate feelings that often escape verbal description.

Though I work primarily in the digital realm, I frequently explore traditional mediums such as oil painting, sketching, and photography. This multi-disciplinary approach ensures my creative process stays dynamic, playful, and ever-changing.

The Spirit of Pocoloco 
To me, Pocoloco is a celebration of the multifaceted self—embracing the charming, the sensitive, the inquisitive, and the delightfully odd parts of who we are.
